Customer Services Assistant
We require a keen, enthusiastic and well organised administrator to work within our Charnwood customer services department. The role involves working in a high paced environment dealing with customer enquiries and processing sales orders. The successful candidate will need to be able to work well under pressure, have good computer skills and a strong ability to communicate by telephone, email and letter.
We are looking for a keen, enthusiastic and well-organised person to work in our Customer Service Department to deal with spares enquiries.
The customer service area is a very important sector of our business. Due to the nature of our products this area tends to be extremely busy during the autumn and winter and you will need to be able to work well under pressure.
The work involved, for which training will be given, will consist of the following:
Data Processing: We operate a fully computerised sales order processing system. All orders for spare parts have to be entered onto the computer and the necessary paperwork has to be prepared for the despatch of goods. This requires quick and accurate keyboard skills.
Communication: A good friendly telephone manner and the ability to write concise letters and emails is important. The ability to communicate well and accurately determine customers’ requirements is vital. Some calls will be of a simple technical nature.
General Office Duties: Working in a small sales team you will be expected to carry out a certain number of general office duties – i.e. collating figures, filing, photocopying, faxing etc.
Hours: 35 hours per week (9am – 5pm Monday to Friday).
Duration of Employment: Permanent position following successful completion of a 3 month probation period.
Salary: Negotiable subject to ability and experience.
